The Awake NY x ASICS Gel-NYC “Teal/Pink” is a collaboration by Angelo Baque’s streetwear brand and the Japanese footwear company on a colorway of the retro-inspired sneaker with a head-turning look. Awake NY’s spin on the Gel-NYC updates the shoe that combines elements of the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 3 with the ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 with teal and pink accents for a bold appearance. The upper features a grey mesh base with tonal leather overlays throughout the design. Teal suede overlays are seen in various places on the shoe. Pink ASICS tiger stripes appear on both sides. “A” and “Awake NY” detailing can be found on the tongue and lateral heel, respectively. Underfoot, a pink and white midsole completes the look.
