The Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Black” is a contemporary sneaker with a design informed by retro running shoe details. The Air Max Pre-Day’s product name is derived from the late Steve Prefontaine, a long distance runner sponsored by Nike in the 1970s. The comfortable shoe looks similar to classic Nike running shoes like the Waffle Racer as well as modern designs. The shoe’s shadowy appearance includes a black base with light grey suede panels on the toe, forefoot, and heel. A black synthetic Swoosh is found on either side. The raised eyelets are designed in light grey canvas. A visible Max Air unit in the heel of the white EVA foam midsole cuts a strikingly modern look. The thin black rubber outsole is rounded on the heel.
