The Air Max 97 debuted in 1997 and has since become one of the most popular lifestyle shoes in footwear. On the “Koi Fish” colorway, Nike gives the shoe a makeover dedicated to fish known as Nishikigoi in Japan. The design features a white mesh base with tonal wavy leather overlays. A wheat-colored suede mudguard contrasts the appearance of the shoe. Special scale details are found around the white Swoosh branding on the sides above the white foam midsole.
