The DTLR x New Balance 992 “Discover and Celebrate” is a 2020 collaboration from the veteran East Coast sneaker retailer and the iconic footwear brand. This limited edition release celebrates DTLR’s roots in the DMV area with a colorway dedicated to Washington D.C. At the colorway’s foundation is the iconic grey mesh and suede construction that has long been associated with Boston-based New Balance. From there, DTLR takes things to D.C. with plush black suede detailing and red and white accents inspired by the city’s flag. The flag itself can also be found within the white oval shield on each heel. The clean upper design is complemented with the 992’s thick ENCAP-supported sole unit in black and white with translucent red ABZORB cushioning in the heel. Each pair of DTLR’s “Discover and Celebrate” 992 come complete with a collectable postcard that displays artwork by June Sanders on one side and all of the previous DTLR x New Balance 990 series collaborations on the other.
