In spite of its name, the New Balance 2002R debuted in 2010—not 2002—and is now one of the premier lifestyle shoes in sneakers. The “Sea Salt/Vintage Teal” features a Sea Salt-colored mesh base with tonal leather overlay panels throughout its design. A white “N” logo with Vintage Teal trim appears on the side. Additional Vintage Teal detailing can be found on the hairy suede heel overlay and on the inner lining. “New Balance 2002R” branding is displayed on the tongue and “2002R” logo detailing can be found on the lateral side of the heel.
